Local mobile operator Dhiraagu has said normal services have been restored to the southernmost Atolls after technical difficulties temporarily downed mobile and banking services in the region.
Dhiraagu had said it had been facing difficulties in several atolls in the south of Maldives since Tuesday evening.
The persistent technical difficulties had also disrupted Bank of Maldives' internet and mobile banking systems.
Dhiraagu said the service interruptions had been caused by a fault in the submarine cable which has now been repaired.
