Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has stated that Maldives experiences many benefits from the tourism fairs held abroad and that Maldives is being further advertised in the world. They also stated that the World Travel Market set to start in London on Tuesday will provide great exposure for Maldives tourism
MMPRC's Deputy Director Fathimath Raahil stated in an interview with 'Avas' that Maldives always makes preparations before participating in these fairs and that all involved in the Maldivian tourism sector were given the chance to advertise their business abroad.
She also said that Maldives always looks to increase the amount of tourists and that this fair is the perfect opportunity to do that.
"We see it as very important to take part in these fairs, this is another doorway from which to bring tourists in to the Maldives, and this is an opportunity for our operators and agents to meet and conduct business with foreign operators and agents, it will go really perfectly this time," Raahil said.
All Maldivian participants will get a 30 second window to show their advertisements on the Maldivian screen at the fair. Several resorts and agents have been rented stall spaces in the fair, and information desks will also be established.
Maldives will have a stand of 276 square meters representing 66 Maldivian companies in the Excel Asia/Pacific and Indian Ocean Hall in London. There will be 168 Maldivians to advertise the Maldives.
MMPRC has been involved in many efforts to advertise the Maldives, and are taking part in many fairs. While Maldives have participates in many fairs this year, Maldivian stands have received high praise and awards. Maldives is also taking part in the ITB fair.
