The first part of the new Star Wars anthology, Rogue One is set to hit the cinemas soon, and it holds a special interest to the Maldivian audience. The reason for this is that the newly introduced planet to the Star Wars universe, Scarif being based on Maldivian islands.
The new trailer released by LucasFilms and Disney for the movie set to be released on the 16th of next month, features many scenes from beautiful locations in L. Atoll. Around 20 minutes of Rogue One features in the Maldives, along with some important action scenes.
The previous trailer also showcased scenes from the Maldives. But the scenes in the new trailer are clearer and much more detailed.
This spin off movie of the Star Wars franchise directed by Gareth Edwards has actress Felicity Jones starring as the main character. This movie acts as a prequel to the original trilogy and shows the attempts of the rebels of destroying the Empires super weapon, the Death Star.
