Maldives president Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has met with Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamed Najib Razak during his visit to Malaysia to attend United Malays National Organisation's (UMNO) annual assembly.
During this meeting, the two leaders spoke on the brotherhood between their nations, and discussed ways to further strengthen this relationship.
Accompanying President Yameen to the meeting were the tourism minister Moosa Zameer, Members of Parliament Abdu Raheem Abdulla and Doctor Abdulla Khaleel, as well the Maldivian Ambassador to Malaysia Mohamed Fahumee Hassan.
The President took part in the ceremony officiating this year's annual UMNO assembly.
