Delayed media council polls to be held this month

The Home Ministry has decided to hold the Media Council Elections, delayed due to find solutions to complaints, on the 12th of this month.

The Media Council Elections were originally slated to be held last Friday. However, the Home Ministry suddenly decided to delay the elections the night before after allegations of corruption and various other complaints.

The Home Ministry said that the elections will be held on the 12th of this month, from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM at the Ministry. The members on the Media Council are members appointed from various media's and 15 members of public voted in.

A total of 86 media have been registered to vote in this election. From the public, 12 candidates have stepped forward and another 17 have emerged from the media.
