Maldives utility company gives jobs for 100 disabled people

FENAKA Corporation has officially given employment to 100 people with disabilities on Sunday. The program which saw employment secured for these people was based on President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom's electoral pledge of equal opportunity for all.

People with disabilities had also been previously granted employment opportunities at the State Trading Organisation, MTCC, Aasandha as well as the National Social Protection Agency among other government offices. However, this is the first time that so many people with disabilities were given employment in the same company.

Those who got employed at FENAKA on Sunday include people who were born with disabilities or had been robbed of their senses through a tragic accident and had been excluded from the work environment.
