Maldives Integrated Tourism Development Corporation (MITDC) has opened it's corporate office in Velaanaage, home of most government offices. The office was opened Monday by Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer.
The Managing Director of MITDC, Mohamed Shahid told Avas that MITDC had been working on its mandates from within the Tourism Ministry.
He said the corporation's work will now progress at a more efficient rate with the new office and that the services that the corporation mandate offers to the public will now be available from the office.
"Our goal is to increase the benefits of tourism to the Maldives. We will carry out all the work required to do that efficiently through our office," Shahid said.
President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom formed the MITDC last August to help mid to low level businesses to successfully integrate to the Maldivian tourist market.
