Vilu Reef Resort has kick-started a special program to protect baby turtles.
With the joint effort of all employees of the resort, six eggs have been found and safely buried in the beach so far. A special program called 'Releasing Baby Turtles' will be held after the eggs hatch.
The effort to protect turtles and other marine life will be conducted in islands nearby the resort as well.
The resort said that the baby turtles will be cared for in a special pool upon hatching, and that their growth will be observed before releasing them into the sea.
The turtles will be released once they grow up to 30 centimeters, and have gained 4 kilograms.
