An expatriate work was critically injured in an accident which occurred at around 8:20 AM Monday in the reclaimed suburb Hulhumale.
The man is currently being treated at the Hulhumale Hospital.
The police spokesperson said a truck had lost control and hit the expat before crashing into a tree.
Hospital said the victim remains in critical condition after suffering severe head trauma during the accident.
The police said the investigation into the accident was underway.
