Centurion PLC Wednesday became the first private company in the Maldives to go public after selling its first shares in the Maldivian stock market.
The company said teams had held many roadshows across the Maldives. The Centurion teams visited 31 islands in the Maldives to provide share information while agents also visited 10 islands to sell shares. The company have not revealed the amount of shares sold as of yet.
"We received support for this initiative from all over the Maldives," the company revealed.
Centurion stocks will be available on the market starting from the eighth of next month, after the processing is complete.
"An internal audit is being conducted on Centurion's IPO, shareholders will receive their certificates two weeks after the shares have been sold out," Centurion said.
