An Open Day for 150 job opportunities in the newly opening Kandima Maldives resort will be held on the 11th of this month.
The Open Day is set to be held in Majeedhiyaa School, and will continue from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday. Information on the jobs and a chance to apply for the jobs will be available at the event.
The Director of Human Resources for Kandima Maldives, Mohamed Athif stated that the open day was being held to allow as many Maldivians to find jobs at the resort as possible. Athif noted that women will also be encouraged to apply for jobs at Kandima.
"It is our aim, for Maldivian girls to pursue the hospitality field, girls with burka [head veil] can also apply for jobs at our resort," Athif noted.
He also revealed that the management had set the target to get at least 65% of the staff as Maldivians.
The resort has also previously held successful Open Days in Addu City, as well as Dhaal Atoll.
The resort, which was developed with around a project value of USD80 million has many facilities and perks available for its employees. The resort said staff will have air conditioned rooms, access to swimming pools and sports facilities as well.
