The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) Wednesday has launched efforts to re-float a tug boat which ran aground on the Kaaf Atoll Akirifushi reef.
The boat which crashed into the reef sometime around 2:00 AM on Wednesday is reported to have had five locals on board at the time of departure.
MNDF said no one aboard the boat had been injured in the incident.
