The driver of the loader which ran over and killed a child in Gaaf Dhaal Atoll Faresmathoda last year with negligence.
The victim of the incident 10-year-old Amaanulla passed away during the transfer to the Dr. Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital located at neighbouring Thinadhoo island
The loader belonged to MT Hogard, who was working on a shore protection project in the island.
Zahid Hassan, the driver of the loader has been charged with negligence. The trial was slated to begin on Wednesday afternoon but had been cancelled after the defendant failed to be present in court.
