Ensis Fisheries has gifted five tonnes of organic fertilizer to Gaaf Dhaal Atoll Thinadhoo island.
Accepting the gift on behalf of the island was the Thinadhoo native, Vice-President Abdulla Jihad. The Managing Director of Ensis, Mohamed Waseem said that the fertilizer was prepared from the waste of the fisheries company, and that it was 100% organic.
The production of fertilizer by Ensis negates the need of 30% of fertilizer imported from overseas.
Ensis manages a wide network of exporting various Maldivian fish products abroad.
