Hondaafushi Resort to be unveiled next month

Resort developer AAA company has announced plans to unveil its new 400 room resort in Haa Dhaal Atoll Hondaafushi next month.

During an interview with Avas, AAA director Moosa Shiyam said that the resort would consist of 400 rooms which however would be constructed in phases with 100 rooms added each year. He added that the resort would initially be inaugurated with 80 rooms which adds up to a total of 162 beds.

Moosa stated that all 400 rooms will be serviceable in five years and that the inauguration of this resort is a huge accomplishment for the company in terms of business.

He said the USD150 million resort will be qualified to provide five-star service though it is classified as a four-star resort, adding that the first phase include a spa, restaurant, swimming pool, three outlets/shops and a coffee shop.

“The inauguration will not be possible without the effort and dedication of the team, especially local companies. We are working our level best with the resources provided” said Moosa.

AAA is one of the largest local resort operators in the Maldives. AAA currently owns and operates resorts Filitheyo, Medhufushi and Zitahli.
