Maldives state hospital closes flu clinic

State-run Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) Saturday closed the special flu clinic set-up to combat the H1N1 epidemic.

IGMH closed it's flu clinic due to the continually receding patient numbers. However, treatment for patients will continue in the hospital's emergency.

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has also cancelled the health alert issued for the H1N1 epidemic.

Government reopened schools on Sunday more than two weeks after having closed them in some of the islands and Male city during the rapid outbreak of the flu.
