Centara unveils plans for Muthaafushi resort

Leading hospitality management group, Centara, reveals that their new resort Baa Atoll Muthaafushi will unveil a floating cinema and an underwater restaurant.

Management contract for Centara's fourth resort was made with resort developing company, Moofushi Orient Investments. The signing ceremony took place between Centara's executive officer Thirayuth Chirathivat and director of Moofushi Orient Investments, Mohamed Hameed.

The new five-star resort will comprise of 24 land villas and 77 water villas.

The resort will also display an underwater restaurant and the first of its kind floating cinema, a dedicated Thai spa, a fitness centre, and other facilities expected in a Centara Grand resort.

The resort is set to have a soft opening in the fourth quarter of this year and grand opening in 2019.
