Certain parts of capital city Male are currently facing power outage due to a faulty generator.
Currently, there are power outage in Machangoalhi and Maafannu.
State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) said technicians are currently working on fixing the problem, but did not divulge any further information.
However, STELCO assured that power will be back sometime within the day.
