Movenpick to reopen Maldives outlet

International franchise “Movenpick” has announced the reopening of an outlet in the Maldves. Movenpick had previously opened it’s outlet in the Maldives at Artificial Beach.

Head of sales and marketing at VH Holdings, Ahmed Yooman said that ice cream for the outlet in Maldives will be supplied directly from Switzerland.

“The restaurant will serve an array of dishes made from distinctive flavours of our authentic swiss ice cream” said Yooman.

The pricing of the Movenpick outlet will be suitable for the Maldivian market.

Movenpick is an iconic Swiss chain selling ice creams and shakes in modern surrounds; some branches serve waffles.

The first Mövenpick restaurant opened in Zurich on July 19, 1948 by Ueli Prager. By 1958, they had eight restaurants located throughout Switzerland.

Mövenpick Ice Cream is sold in more than 30 countries worldwide. Products are sold through five different sales channels: gastronomy, retailing, scooping stations, impulse sales and a number of "Mövenpick boutiques" located in large cities across the globe.

Movenpick icecream is a brand of ice cream of Swiss origin produced by the Nestlé corporation.
