Teaching Tube website receives huge international support

Teaching Tube (www.teachingtube.com) has received much acclaim from students worldwide.

Since its official launch on 29 April by the First Lady of Maldives, the next generation learning website has received visits from over 30 different countries worldwide with the registered total student population now reaching over 4,000.

“TeachingTube.com was formed to overcome the geographical challenge of Maldivians being far away from each other in 200 different islands,” noted Shamees Rasheed, Senior Manager for Marketing Communications of Islanders Group and Islanders Education.

“The goal of the website was to provide access to quality teachers regardless of where the students are before sitting for O Level & A Level exams. With this in mind, Islanders Education in partnership with Dhiraagu formed TeachingTube.com, which enables students from anywhere to pay a one-time fee per year of $99 per subject and get access to stream high quality recorded lessons from leading teachers, authors and industry experts.”

The majority of visitors for the website came from Maldives, followed by visitors from India, Sri Lanka, Australia and United States respectively. The website also receives visitors from all across the globe, including Malaysia, United Kingdom, China, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Nigeria and even remote areas such as Fiji and Brunei.

The website, which was in development for over 5 years, contains over 100 GB of learning content and access to leading teachers, authors and industry experts as subject tutors.

Teaching Tube team will also be conducting a nationwide tour from July to September this year covering over 11 atolls and 35 islands to provide students with information about the online tuition platform.

Maldives’ largest telecommunications company, Dhiraagu, is the digital service partner for Teaching Tube.”

Teaching Tube also collaborates with Pro Designers Pvt Ltd, one of the leading web & mobile app development, video animation, 3D modelling and technology company in the Maldives, to develop lessons across all subjects.

The website also includes Artificial Intelligence (AI) generated report / feedback for students for assessments. The AI-generated reports for the website was developed by India’s Report Bee company, which was listed by BETT UK as one of the “Top 3 Innovative Ed-Tech firm in Asia”.
