Bank of Maldives (BML) has provided special gifts to people with impaired mobility in a number of local communities.
According to BML, the gifts are an initiative under the bank’s annual community outreach activity, given under the banner of “Eid Vedhun”. The staff of BML raise annual funds to support an important cause, to which the Bank matches the total funds raised to provide gifts and support social causes.
The bank stated that this year’s “Eid Vedhun” gift of motorized wheelchairs will benefit 15 mobility impaired residents on 5 different islands. The outreach activity was launched at a small ceremony held, on Wednesday at Kaafu atoll Maafushi island, where the Bank presented residents of the island with their gifts.
BML has supported many sectors under this year’s initiative “Aharenge Bank Dhivehinge Bank”, which loosely translates to My Bank, Maldivians’ Bank. BML also takes responsibility in supporting local communities and social causes.
