Two people were injured on Sunday night after yet another spate of gang violence in the capital city Malé.
The street fight took place in the gang territory of Adi Park, Henveiru. Bystanders revealed that the fight between two gangs were started after a group of people came on motorcycles and starting assaulting at the others using blocks of wood and sharp objects.
The injured are being treated at Senahiya hospital. Neither of the two suffered any serious injuries.
The latest incident was reportedly in retaliation to another assault where a young man was hit on the head with a block of wood. Police said the investigation was ongoing but no one has been arrested thus far.
