American Express and Bank of Maldives (BML) jointly launched a special tourism promotion campaign, ‘Experience Maldives’, on Tuesday.
The campaign is endorsed by the tourism ministry and the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) and will be participated by over 20 resorts in the Maldives.
BML CEO and Managing Director, Andrew Healy stated that the campaign is an important initiative for the country which will promote Maldives to travellers from across the globe.
Manoj Adlakha, Senior Vice President and CEO of American Express Banking Corporation also commented during the ceremony and said American Express hopes to promote Maldives to their customer base of over 20 million people in efforts to support their merchant base in the Maldives and the country’s economy as a whole.
American Express is used at over 25% of the resorts in the Maldives.
