Higher education fair on Sat

Sri Lanka's Edlocate Pvt Ltd together with their Maldives partner, Islanders Education Pvt Ltd will once again host an education fair in the capital Male on Saturday.

The organizers said the fair slated to be held at the National Art Gallery would offer students and parents firsthand information on studying abroad and meet the counsellors and university representatives from 4 pm to 10 pm and admission is free.

The education fair is mainly for students who sat the GCE A/L Examinations in May this year and whom are awaiting results. It will also be useful to those seeking postgraduate studies, organizers said.

Visitors to the fair will be able to get ample information on courses leading to professions with high international demand. They will be able to get information on the opportunities available in 55 Australian universities/institutes, seven Malaysian universities/institutes, three New Zealand universities and six New Zealand degree-awarding polytechnics to study and graduate.

Students can also look into the possibility to get paid post study work experience related to the degree/ skill in leading business establishments in Australia and New Zealand.

The fair will also provide students details on the high number of scholarships available to high achievers but also pathways to undergraduate courses, if students do not have direct entry results at A/L. More important students and parents will be able to get all relevant details regarding the requirements to obtain student visa. For students who gain access, there will be no handling fee charge for placement, enrolment or to obtain visa by Edlocate.
