A subsidiary of State Trading Organization - largest enterprise in Maldives, Fuel Supplies Maldives (FSM) opens its new petrol shed at the reclaimed suburb Hulhumale.
Titled "FSM Easy Fill 3" the new petrol refilling station in front of Hulhumale' ferry terminal was opened on Wednesday by economic minister Mohamed Saeed. The newly opened shed provides petrol and diesel at same pricing as its Male' outlets- with petrol price tagged at MVR 8.65 per liter while diesel is quoted at MVR 8.44 per liter.
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the new petrol station, STO's Managing Director Ahmed Saheer spoke of the importance of delivering services at affordable prices to customers by STO and its subsidiaries. He also noted FSM's Easy Fill 3's establishment would mean a price drop of 20% from the currently available prices at Hulhumale'.
Minister Saeed highlighted at the infrastructural development and urbanization of Maldives, emphasizing on the pace of progression. He also noted the promises of President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom's manifesto are made true through such developmental projects and investments, stating a rough USD 1.5 billion from private and government sector towards the progress of Hulhumale'.
