Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has launched a ‘Safety Week’ in order to strengthen security at Velana International Airport (VIA).
The week long workshop will be attended by all employees of of the airports operator. The inauguration ceremony of ‘Safety Week” was attended by all top officers of the airlines operating in the Maldives..
MACL is the operator national airport of the Maldives run under IATA and ICAO codes. VIA is also internationally recognised for the quality of their services.
The government has initiated a USD800 million mega project to expand the archipelago's main airport.
