Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC) has won it's case against SOF (Scores Of Flair) over the embezzlement of MVR 1 billion from the government based marketing and public relations corp.
Civil Court has ordered SOF to settle an amount of MVR 160 million (approx. USD 10 million) to MMPRC.
Plaintiff, MMPRC has requested from Civil Court to claim MVR 158 million (USD 10.3 million) which, the corporation is subjected to receive from SOF, while the marketing and public relations firm also requested from court to reclaim a total of MVR 6.1 million (approx USD 400,000) which was issued to the discrepancy ridden SOF.
The case proceeded in absentia of any members of SOF as they had failed to attend the hearing at Civil Court. The company was ordered to settle the amount within a period of six months.

MMPRC's audit report indicates that a total of MVR 1 billion was deposited to the bank accounts of SOF - under dubious circumstances. The company is headed by a close ally of former Vice President Ahmed Adeeb, Mohamed Allaam Latheef - who goes by his stage name "Moho" during his music band era - who currently resides at UK after exiling himself to evade from legal prosecution.
An Interpol Red Notice has been issued for the apprehension of Latheef, and extradited back to Maldives.
