State Electric Company's Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Zuhoor has been elected as the representative to the general shareholders' board of Ooredoo Maldives.
Zuhoor was elected as the board director of general shareholders in the first annual general meeting of Ooredoo Maldives held at Dharubaaruge on Sunday night.
The STELCO CEO received competition from Ayady Takaful's - a subsidy of Allied Insurance - General Manager Ibrahim Firushan and former Chairperson of Bank Of Maldives Fareeha Shareef.
The AGM of Ooredoo Maldives also placed an agenda of electing a director to the board of directors of Wataniya International FZ LLC. However upon request of the main office, the item was removed from Sunday night's agenda.
A total of 14 million shares were sold during Ooredoo Maldives' IPO. This amounts to a total of MVR 421 million - while 9.5% of the total shares were sold.
Accumulated shares of the shareholders had reached a total of 1.3 million.
Ooredoo Maldives' first annual general meeting was chaired by Ooredoo Group's Chairman Khalid Ibrahim Al Mahmood.
The company had assigned world's top leading audit firm KPMG as its auditor for the fiscal run of 2018 at a price of $ 39,800.
