Bid opened for 300 unit housing at three islands

Finance Ministry has announced for the development of a 300 housing unit in three different islands in Maldives under government sheltering scheme.

In an announcement made by the ministry on Sunday, they cited that according to Housing Ministry's request to develop a total of 300 housing units in Lhaviyani atoll Hinnavaru, Naifaru and Addu atoll Feydhoo through a third party contractor.

Ministry has opened bidding to acquire a corporation for the construction, design and contractor of the project.

Interested parties can submit bid documents before November 21. Participating companies should pay a fee of 1500 to submit the bid documents while payment has to be settled between October 16 and 21.

Under the social housing scheme, government has aimed to develop 100 housing units in each island. Bids have been open for three lots with a bid security deposit of MVR 250,000.

Bid security period commences on the bid opening day lasting a duration of 148 days.

Bids will be addressed on November 23 at the National Tender and Project Monitoring hall situated in Ministry of Finance and Treasury.
