Al-Shali nabs most awards at Boating Awards

Al Shali Marine Maldives has emerged as a winner at the Maldives Boating Awards taking home the most awards.

The prestigious awards ceremony held at National Art Gallery on Monday night saw several local powerhouse boat manufacturers and shipping or boating related companies from Maldives competing with big names in the industry.

Al Shali Marine stole the thunder of Monday night's event taking home the maximum number of trophies awarded to a boating company - as they competed against several mammoth contenders.

Their boat yard was awarded as the best boat site of the year - a boat maintenance venue that can accommodate about 25 boats simultaneously. Al Shali built coast craft speed boat was awarded the best fiber-glass vessel of the year as well in addition to this their "Island Hopper" vessel had taken away an award at the ceremony.

Some of the awards Al-Shali Marine took home includes;

- Best dockyard or slipway of the year
- Best boat design of the year
- Best Production: Fiber vessel of the year (5 to 24 meter category)
- Best Production: Fiber vessel of the year (15 to 40 meter category)

Ali Shali Marine's Operations Manager Ismail Shareef said that the success at the ceremony was a "dream come true."

The company has taken four victory trophies this year while at the boating awards of 2016 they had received an award for a vessel production as well.

Al Shali Marine Maldives was created by Coastline in collaboration with Dubai's Al Shali.
