VIA franchise building construction draws near completion

The construction of the impressive looking building to house franchise outlets has been for the most part completed.

According to Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) the building's exterior works have been completed with the developers currently constructing the interior of the 14,000 square feet area.

Initially it was reported that the exterior construction works of the building will be completed by December 2017, which was stalled for several technical reasons.

While the building draws close to a complete finish, at least three companies have expressed their interest in managing the multi-business operating building. These had included companies with licenses to run international franchises.

The building is constructed at the site which previously housed the terminal for passengers to board ferries for the transportation between Male' and Hulhule'.
