An unnamed Qatar company is preparing to begin construction of a hotel in the capital Male, it has emerged.
AVAS has been able to confirm that the firm would build the high end hotel in the west end of the capital Male equipped with a swimming pool and other modern day amenities.
The hotel plot is reportedly the land where the famous West Park restaurant was formerly housed. Tourism ministry had included the plot among the islands and lagoons leased for tourism development.
The plot is over 19,000 square feet in size and its location is in the western corner of the capital Male.
