Three people were seriously injured in an accident in Feydhoo island in the southernmost Atoll Addu on Friday evening.
Police said a speeding motorbike on Feydhoo link road had lost control and hit a pedestrian. The two people on the motorbike and the pedestrian had suffered serious injuries, police said.
The trio was being treated at the Feydhoo health centre but the extent of their injuries remain unclear. However, one of the two on the motorbike at the time of the accident was reportedly in intensive care.
The pedestrian injured in the accident is believed to be an expatriate worker.
