Housing Ministry has formed a special Maldives Building and Construction Board, responsible with the complete oversight of development and construction field projects.
The board was formulated under the citations of Building Construction Act according to Housing Ministry. President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom had formed the special board with regards to Article number 5 and 6 of the Construction Act.
Maldives Building and Construction Board comprises of prominent figures in construction and development industry with its Chairman found in Mohamed Ali Janah, who is a reputable figure in the industry.
Other members of the board include Abdulla Fiyaz, Fathimath Shaheena, Ismail Ibrahim, Abdulla Mohamed, Ali Shuhail Mohamed and Mohamed Shafeeq Mahmood.
