Net profit of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has increased by 89 percent in the final quarter of 2017.
The state and public owned corporation, had reached a net profit of MVR 89 million in fourth quarter of last year according to the entity's financial records. This marks a sizeable bump compared to 2016's MVR 44 million in the final quarter.
The financial reports indicate that MTCC had made transactions worth MVR 385 million in the fourth quarter of 2017 but back in 2016 their transactions had reached MVR 389 million. However the net profit in 2016 was at MVR 87 million.
MTCC made an income of MVR 67 million after tax deduction.
