An expatriate worker in critical condition after falling down a ventilation shaft in the reclaimed suburb Hulhumale on Sunday has died in hospital.
The Bangladesh national reportedly fell down from the fourth floor into the ventilation shaft. The man was initially rushed to the Hulhumale hospital but was later transferred to the privately-run ADK hospital in the capital Male.
The man had reportedly suffered fractures to the chest and arm and was in a coma before he passed away from the injuries.
