Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC) is moving closer to complete liquidation as the company had announced seeking to clear outstanding settlements.
The corporation announced that any party that had an overdue or an outstanding transaction in need of settlement to inform them immediately.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed the road development corporation will be dissolved with its non-tangible assets transferred under Housing Ministry's administration, including the overheads.
MRDC had advised entities to inform the corporation before March 26 to claim their payments, including that any invoices and bills presented after the specified date will be neglected.
It is obvious the corporation wishes to clear its debts and unsettled payments before it is fully dissolved.
Over the past few years the road development corporation has registered significant financial losses both in its operations and income thus rendering the possibility to inject capital for future functioning of it null.
