Fenaka seeks interested parties to construct tower at reclaimed suburb

Fenaka Corporation is seeking a contractor interested in constructing their 15-storey tower at the reclaimed suburb; Hulhumale'.

In a public announcement made on Thursday Fenaka is seeking an interested party to construct the residential tower at the newly reclaimed second-phase zone. The utility corporation expects contractors to place their proposals via mail until June 25.

The project of Fenaka falls under the largest sheltering initiative by the current government with the inclusion of state owned corporations under it. Two foreign firms have been enrolled into the initiative by the government. A total of 22 companies are expected to construct 62 residential towers that would eventually accommodate the respective companies' employees and their families.

While Fenaka has announced to seek a contractor a few of the state owned corporations have implemented their respective construction projects via third-party contractors.

Male' Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), State Trading Organization (STO), State Electric Company (STELCO), Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) and Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) are among the state owned corporations that have already initiated their construction projects.
