Largest telecommunication provider Dhiraagu has taken the title sponsorship of Football Association of Maldives' (FAM) new Youth League.
The first Youth League is aimed at 13 year olds while FAM aims to increase various age categories in future leagues. The league will be participated by a total of eight football academies or teams.
The teams include Club Eagles, Maziya, BG, Hulhumale' Sports Academy, Early-Touch Football Academy (ETFA), Maldives Soccer Mates (MSM), MAS Helping Hand Academy and Amsa.
FAM's General Secretary Hussain Jawaz noted Dhiraagu was the first to assist the association during youth development programs. Jawaz noted Dhiraagu's assistance this time around for Youth League comes as another relief for the association.
Mohamed Hisaan of Dhiraagu's marketing and public relations said the telecom operator encourages youth development initiatives like these.
