Singha Estate assigns Abu Dhabi's Jalboot with Maldives luxury marina management

Singha Estate Public Company has selected Abu Dhabi's Jalboot Holdings to manage its luxury marine at Crossroads; the largest integrated resort project in Maldives.

Developed at Kaafu atoll Embudhoo, Crossroads aims to attract leisure travelers and family markets. The integrated resort project is reported to span to nine islands with 1,300 rooms with a retail space of over 11,000 square meters.

Jalboot Holdings will be managing the luxury marina developed at the lagoon of Embudhoo, which holds a proximity of a 15-minute boat ride from Velana International Airport (VIA).

It has been reported that the managerial company will introduce charter yachts and electric ferry service between the international airport and the marina. Jalboot is also expected to introduce fully air-conditioned ferries capable of carrying 4,000 passengers.

As per its partnership deal "Jalboot will be providing a full spectrum water transport solution for Crossroads, including marina management, water transport and other support services," writes Corporate Maldives.

Crossroads integrated resort project is expected to unveil its first resort in 2018. During the first phase an investment of USD311.5 million will be injected for the development of three out of the planned nine islands.

Singha Estate Public Company reports the project will open up approximately 7,000 jobs in Maldives.
