President of Maldives Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has returned to country capital Male' City after concluding his three day trip to northern atolls.
The island nation's head of state visited several islands of the two northern-most atolls; Haa Alif and Haa Dhaal in his trip.
In his trip, president Abdulla Yameen inaugurated the sewerage system at Haa Dhaal Nolhivaram, Hanimaddhoo and Haa Alif Ihavandhoo, took part in the closing ceremony of shoreline preservation at Haa Alif Hoarafushi and officially opened the fresh water distillery at Haa Alif Dhihdhoo.
President Yameen had officially inaugurated the housing units at Dhihdhoo as well as commemorated the closing ceremonies of the island's road construction and shoreline protection projects.
Additionally he also visited Haa Alif Baarah and opened the marina-style jetty developed at the island while he also inaugurated the sewerage network at Kelaa of the same atoll.
