New member appointed to JSC Maldives

A new member from the parliament has been appointed to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) of Maldives.

The Guraidhoo constituency lawmaker Ibrahim Riza will be filling the slot designated for parliament members.

The deputy president's role was previously filled by Mohamed Faisal who was appointed by president of Maldives. Faisal resigned from his post after getting appointed a high court judge.

President Abdulla Yameen has appointed Mohamed Saleem to succeed Faisal as the new deputy president of the commission.
