He advised the Maldives public to unite and work alongside one another in developing the nation and progressing as a society.
President Abdulla Yameen advised as such in his special statement to commemorate the Eid-ul-Adha - an auspicious and festive period in Islamic faith.
The island nation's president had spoken about the importance of solidifying relationships and uniting together, while noting Maldivian public is known for their friendliness and helpful nature towards each other.
President Yameen had greeted the people of Maldives in celebration of the Eid that follows the sacred Hajj pilgrimage.
