Accident in capital leaves two in critical condition

Three people were injured on Saturday night after an accident on the ring road near Senahiya Hospital.

Police said the accident occurred around 11.15pm, leaving two out of the three people injured in the accident in critical condition. The details of their injuries are unknown, although it has been reported that both sustained head injuries during the motorbike collision.

Ealier on Saturday morning, a teen passed away after a deadly collision with a parked pick-up truck. A second accident had occurred on the ring road near Senahiya later in the evening, however, the victims did not suffer serious injuries.

Since the Sinamale' bridge was opened, there have been reports of multiple accidents especially on the highway which links the bridge to the reclaimed suburb.
