The police have discovered several sharp objects hidden at reclaimed Artificial Beach in capital, Male' on Sunday afternoon.
The dangerous items, which have now been taken into police custody, were found at the site of an abandoned restaurant.
The buildings at the Artificial Beach have been torn down as part of the re-development and renovation of the area. However, the lack of project progress has turned the area into a parking lot for vehicles.
A 17-year old was recently attacked with sharp objects at the carnival area, close to the Artificial Beach.
