The wheel of wheelchair fell from a building on Sunday afternoon, injuring one.
The object fell from the first floor of a building named Shady Rest in Maafannu ward of capital Male', hitting a 14 year old.
The police revealed that the object hit the child's head, due to which his head is now swollen. The incident was reported to the police around 3.10pm on Sunday afternoon.
The number of incidents concerning objects falling from buildings have been on the rise in the recent months. While a falling cutting board had injured a man last week, a young Bangladeshi girl passed away last December due to injuries sustained after a cement bag fell on top of her from a construction site.
