New members appointed to Employment Tribunal

Three full-time members were appointed on Monday to the Employment Tribunal by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.

The appointees are Aminath Abdulla Zuhair from GDh. Thinadhoo, Fathmath Maheera Mohamed from Lh. Hinnavaru and Abdulla Mifraz Nizaar from Male'.

Aminath Abdulla Zuhair, who was also appointed as the vice president of the tribunal holds a Masters of Law (LLM Employment Law) from Kingston University of the United Kingdom. Until now, she has been working as a legal consultant for the National Pay Commission.

Fathmath Maheera Mohamed holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB Law, Shariah & Law) from Maldives National University and is experienced in the legal field.

Abdulla Mifraz Nizar holds a masters degree in Business Law specializing in Employment and Human Resources from Cardiff Metropolitan University in UK. He previously worked at the Prosecutor General's Office as an Assistant Public Prosecutor and as a Legal Assistant at the Supreme Court.

The three members were presented their credentials at the President's Office, and took their oath relevant to their office in-front of the Chief Judge of the Criminal Court, Ahmed Hailam.
