Earth Hour will be celebrated in the Maldives on March 30, says Environment Ministry.
State Minister Dr. Abdulla Naseer said that the country will observe an hour as a lights-off event from 8.30 - 9.30pm on Saturday night.
The Ministry revealed that several events have been planned to celebrate Earth Hour this year, unlike previous years. A cleaning program and special assemblies at all schools of Maldives will be conducted, in addition to a special mural artwork done on the walls of utility company STELCO and the Youth Center in collaboration with Maldives Artists Community
