Transport Ministry has revealed that a mobile application will be used as meters on local taxis.
While complaints of unfair taxi fares have always been an issue, the Transport Ministry had earlier revealed that meters will be used on taxis to calculate the fare.
State Minister of Transport Minister Ahmed Adil said the details of the mobile app that would be used to calculate the fares will be revealed soon. The service will be commenced in the Maldives within the next three months, he added.
