STO employee who suffered a fall from the second story of a mosque under construction has succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Head of IT department Musthafa Azmee fell from the second floor of Mohamed Jameel Mosque in capital Male', which is scheduled to be opened just before Ramadan. He suffered serious injuries to his head and lungs. The long-time STO employee passed away on Saturday night in Maldives, after being brought back to his homeland earlier the same night after treatment in Bangalore, India. His brain had stopped functioning, and doctors in India had advised that there was no further treatment that could be given.
Azmee was 41 years old at the time of his death.
